Set of 4 exceptionally detailed Viennese Biedermeier chairs. Ebonized pear-wood veneer, exemplary bent seatback design with 5 stretchers and a center panel in maple inlaid with plant with leaves in brass, maple and ebony. Padded seats, square-tapered legs with paw feet and gilt wood. Vienna, circa 1825.
18 1/2" / 35 1/2" h, 18 1/2" w, 18 1/2" d.
