Magnificently detailed South German Louis XVI marquetry chest.
Two drawer body with canted corners over long tapered legs.
Walnut, ebony, cherry wood, maple and ebonized woods veneered on pine wood.
Geometric panels with fillets, corner plates with the original penworks, parquetry, leaf tips and ribbon twist.
Umbrella motif on top with burned/shaded maple. Original boxlocks, hardware and key.
Southwest Germany, circa 1780-1800
