A very large South German Biedermeier table of exceptional quality. This table's importance is 1) the dominance of one of the Biedermeier main motifs, the lyre, which supports the table - top and 2) the very rare large and oval shape. Walnut veneered on pine wood, on table-top book-match with 6 times repeating pattern. Inlaid with hairlines in maple and oval panel in bird's - eye- maple. Table-top cross grain bordered. Apron with standing veneers. Ebonized strings. Turned stretcher.
