Two-drawer cubical body on long square-tapered legs. Veneered with highly-figured walnut on pinewood in book match pattern on all four sides. The standing veneers from the "sans traverse" veneered vertical front, continue book matched in the horizontal top. Drawer fronts inlaid in rectangular panels with three hairlines of which the ebony one is flanked by 2 in maple. Complete set of original oval brass plates surrounded by pearl string, palmettes and pulls. Beautiful original large box locks and original key. Drawer insides with original (printed) paper lining (easy to remove).
