BIEDERMEIER SIDECHAIRS SC290
BIEDERMEIER SIDECHAIRS SC290

A pair of sturdy constructed Biedermeier side chairs exemplary for this type of (often called) "shovel-chairs" because of the shovel-shaped shoulder boards forming the waisted seat backs with stretcher and center panel. Veneered with Hungarian flower-ash in its unique grain configuration and golden tone. Edges inlaid with plum wood hairlines. Padded seats. Straight and saber legs. Hungary, circa 1825.
19/33 1/2" h, 18" w, 15 1/4" d.
